The student and faculty lounges in Rutgers Camden School of Law are the primary open areas for its students and faculty. Scheduling programs and events not directly related to the mission of Rutgers Camden School of Law in these lounges during primary academic semesters is discouraged.
However, in certain cases, such as the unavailability of other campus spaces, other university departments and external organizations are permitted to use these areas when the services contribute to the accomplishment of the School of Law’s and/or the Campus’ educational purposes. Please note, no request for use during the free period of the student and faculty lounges will be considered.
Requests for use of the student and faculty lounges for events can be submitted to the Events Office (856-225-6162 or firstname.lastname@example.org ). The Events Office will forward the request to the appropriate parties within Rutgers Camden School of Law.
Events must be submitted a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance of the planned event.
Approved weekend events occur within the Saturday to Sunday time frame and all weekend events are subject to a restoration fee of $600.00 to return the main lounge back to its original configuration.
Weekend events cannot begin on Friday evening. Events begin Saturday or Sunday morning and all weekend events approved for the main lounge must conclude by Sunday evening at 9:00pm.
This policy will allow staff to reset and configure the main lounge for the opening of the building on Monday mornings.
